Establishment: In 1970s there was a great tide of inspiration in establishing colleges in different thanas of Sirajganj. Accordingly a meeting was held at Kamarkhanda (Jamtail) under the leadership of Md. Mofiz Uddin Talukder. A large number of elites of Belkuchi were also present there. On being invited by the convener, the elites of Belkuchi had to donate a large amount of money even by making pressure indirectly by the govt. official of Sirajganj. Under such circumstances the then CO (Rev) of Belkuchi, Subhash Chandra Bhowmik encouraged the elites of Belakuchi to found a college at Belkuchi. Then an initiative was taken by Abu Quraishi Khan. In February, 1970 a large meeting was held with a view to establishing a college at Belkuchi. A decision was accepted unanimously that a college must be established, and immediately the act of foundation was taken up by the leadership of Late Abu Quareshi Khan. Govt. officer Subhas Chandra Bhowmik helped him much in progressing the task. A large number of local people donated and worked unitedly. Among them the followings are mentionable.
